We had been called out to an Emergency Job in which our client had been unable to unlock and open his Door. Which was that was Said over the phone call.
When our Locksmith arrived it was told that the door was only 6 weeks old.
We then initiated work of opening the door as it was completely jammed up. Being a Composite door which made the job of opening slightly harder. We do offer Services for Composite Doors
After opening up the door, we diagnosed the fault as a broken Gearbox mechanism which was really odd being a brand new door with a new mechanism. The Door was 100% brand new and did have a brand new mechanism installed. Parts like these oddly break within the first few years let alone 6 weeks.
We then phoned aroud all our suppliers to see which one had one in-stock. The door was on a self locking system so as soon as it was shut it would be auto locked.
We got really lucky as rare as we thought this mechanism was going to be we had a local supplier which had one so meant we could fix the door on the same day with no extra days needing to come back.
